Curator Louisa Elderton has joined Place and Being






We are extremely pleased to announce that curator Louisa Elderton will be working with us on the Place and Being project. To learn more about her please read the short bio below.

Louisa Elderton is a London-based curator and writer. Graduating from The Courtauld Institute of Art MA course ‘Curating the Art Museum’ in 2010, she curated an exhibition of works from The Arts Council Collection at The Courtauld Gallery. 

Currently working as the Associate Curator at Blain|Southern, she contributes to the exhibitions and publications programme, and works closely the gallery’s roster of artists. She has also worked for institutions including Tate Research and The Whitechapel Gallery, as well as for the contemporary art consultancy Nine AM, where she collaborated with The Photographers’ Gallery. 

Louisa was selected as the first Writer in Residence at Jerwood Visual Arts in 2011, where she produced a series of written materials in response to Jerwood’s exhibition programme, including theoretical and critical essays, artist interviews and exhibition reviews. She has also written for online magazines including This is Tomorrow and Saatchi online.
