Pablo Allison at NAE - Pablo Allison exhibe en NAE

Pablo Allison - member of Centrepoint Collective - whom is part of Place and Being will be exhibiting his recent commission from The University of Nottingham entitled Empowerment through Art: Photography and Latin American Migrant Girls in London at New Art Exchange (Nottingham). The exhibition runs from  8th March to 20th April an the closure party will take place on 18th April 1pm with wine and nibbles! Everyone welcome!




Pablo Allison (miembro de Centrepoint Collective) quien es parte de Lugar y Ser, estará exponiendo su reciente comisión por parte de la Universidad de Nottingham titulada Empowerment through Art: Photography and Latin American Migrant Girls in London. La exhibición se llevará a cabo en New Art Exchange (Nottingham) del 8 de marzo al 20 de abril y habrá una fiesta de clausura el 18 de abril a la 1pm con vino de honor y bocadillos a la que todo público está invitado.



Tina Remiz joins Place and Being / Tina Remiz se une a Lugar y Ser


Latvian photographer Tina Remiz whom recently joined Centrepoint Collective will be taking part in Place and Being.

Tina recently collaborated with the World Press Phototeam during the content judging period. She is currently in Zambia working on a project on informal economy in collaboration with War on Want charity as part of a commission she received by Document Award in 2011.






La fotógrafa de Latvia Tina Remiz quien recientemente se unió a Centrepoint Collective formará parte del proyecto Lugar y Ser. 


Tina recientemente colaboró con el equipo de World Press Photo durante la etapa de revisión y selección de contenido del prestigiado concurso. Actualmente se encuentra en Zambia desarrollando un proyecto sobre economía informal en colaboración con la organización War on Want como parte de una comisión que recibió en 2011 de parte de Document Award.

Collaborator Zed Nelson News / Noticias del colaborador Zed Nelson



Photographer Zed Nelson - one of Place and Being's collaborators - will be exhibiting his project In This Land, a project about Israel in which he investigates the psyche of people living in a land in constant conflict. The exhibition will be open from 2nd February to the 17th March and is being hosted at the Noorderlicht Photogallery, Netherlands.




El fotógrafo Zed Nelson, uno de los colaboradores de Lugar y Ser, estará exhibiendo su proyecto In This Land (En Esta Tierra), un proyecto relacionado con Israel en el cual investiga la psique de la gente que vive en una tierra en constante conflicto. La exposición estará abierta del 2 de febrero al 17 de marzo y tendrá lugar en la galería Noorderlicht Photogallery, en los Países Bajos.

Lon-Art joins Place and Being / Lon- Art se integra a Lugar y Ser


We are pleased to announce that Lon-Art joins us as a collaborator for Place and Being. Lon-Art was established in 2009 in the UK and is a project that links Arts, Culture and Education through interactive workshops. Lon-art.org is formed by a vibrant and creative team with a passion for education through arts. They enjoy exploring diverse ways to share ideas with young people, children and different communities.



Tenemos el gusto de anunciar que la organización Lon-Art se integra al proyecto Lugar y Ser como colaboradora. Lon-Art fue fundada en 2009 en el Reino Unido y es un proyecto que vincula arte, cultura y educación a través de talleres interactivos. Está formada por un equipo creativo y vibrante con una gran pasión por educar por medio de las artes y están sumamente interesados en explorar diversas maneras de compartir ideas con jóvenes, niños y comunidades en general.

Pablo Allison - Latin American Women in the UK / Pablo Allison - Mujeres Latinoamericanas en el Reino Unido



We are happy to announce that Photographer Pablo Allison who is a member of Centrepoint Collective and who will also take part in the project Place and Being is currently working on a commission on behalf of University of Nottingham based on the lives of 11 Latin American women living in the UK. The project is hosted by the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at the University of Nottingham in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh. It is financed by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and supported by the Latin American Women's Rights Services as well as The Museo de la Mujer in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
