We are very pleased to announce that another institution adds on to the list of supporters for the project, this time it is Redeye, the Photography Network which  is a not-for-profit organisation set up to support photographers at every level, and improve the health of photography generally.

Estamos muy contentos de anunciar que otra organización se suma oficialmente a la lista de instituciones que apoyan el proyecto. Esta vez se trata Redeye: The Photography Network, una organización sin fines de lucro creada para apoyar a  fotógrafos en todos los niveles, y mejorar y promover la fotografía en general.

We are pleased to announce that Adam Wiseman, who will take part in the exhibition 'Place and Being' will present a solo show entitled 'Area Conurbada' at the Museo Archivo de la Fotografia on the 31st of May 2012.


Adam Wiseman interprets Mexico City through a decade of work. The selection of images is chaotic and contradictory, mixing neighborhoods and people, emphasizing the visual richness that makes it up. Thus, Wiseman engages the public, walking with them hand in hand to experience the most quotidian moments that make of life, a beautiful experience in Mexico City. He exposes the most vulnerable and thrilling side of this city.

Estamos contentos de anunciar que el fotógrafo Adam Wiseman, quien es parte de la exposición 'Lugar y Ser' presentará una muestra titulada 'Area Conurbada' en el Museo Archivo de la Fotografía en la Ciudad de México el 31 de Mayo del 2012.

El fotógrafo Adam Wiseman interpreta la ciudad de México a través de una década de su trabajo. La selección de imágenes es caótica y contradictoria y mezcla barrios y personas de esta urbe, enfatizando la riqueza visual que la compone. De esta forma, Wiseman engancha al público y lo lleva de la mano a recorrer algunos de los momentos más cotidianos y por lo tanto hermosos de la vida en la Ciudad de México. Wiseman expone el lado más vulnerable y estremecedor de esta ciudad.

We are pleased to share with you that Murray Ballard, one of the photographers involved in Place and Being, is being featured in Hotshoe Magazine. Unfortunately you won't be able to see his work online unless you subscribe to their web version or buy the magazine in your nearest bookshop!

He has also been commissioned by FotoDocument, an innovative social enterprise based in Brighton that provides an international public platform for documentary photography, to produce the project FotoRenewables: Mixed Renewables in the UK which will be exhibited at Brighton Station this month.

Nos complace compartir con ustedes que Murray Ballard, uno de los fotógrafos que participan en  Lugar y el Ser, está siendo publicado en la revista fotográfica Hotshoe. Desafortunadamente, no podrán verlo en línea a menos que se suscriban a la versión web o compren la revista en su librería más cercana!

También ha sido comisionado por FotoDocument, una organización innovadora con sede en Brighton que proporciona una plataforma pública internacional para la fotografía documental, para producir el proyecto FotoRenewables: Mixed Renewables in the UK, que será expuesto en la estación de tren de Brighton, Reino Unido, este mes.

We are pleased to officially announce the support from the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester for the activities to be carried out as part of the project Place and Being: A Photographic Dialogue Between Two Cultures. This institution is responsible for the promotion and realization of cultural and educational projects promoting and disseminating Spanish and Latin American culture worldwide.
